Encontramos a Shayla quando ela ainda era uma cachorrinha minúscula, junto com a mãe e os irmãos. Eles estavam sendo horrivelmente maltratados por moradores locais e, infelizmente, um dos filhotes já tinha sido morto. A mãe, no início, era muito agressiva, pois tentava proteger os filhotes, mas assim que colocamos a coleira nela, foi como se ela soubesse que podia confiar em nós para ajudá-los. A Shayla ainda está no abrigo hoje, com 2 de seus irmãos e uma irmã, com quem divide um canil. A mãe dela e os outros irmãos foram adotados. A Shayla desconfia de estranhos e leva seu tempo para confiar nas pessoas, mas, quando finalmente confia, é muito gratificante.

We found Shayla when she was only a tiny puppy along with her mother and siblings. They were being horribly abused by locals and sadly one of the puppies had already been killed. The mother was very aggressive at first as she was trying to protect her babies but once we put the lead on her it was like she knew she could trust us to help. Shayla is still at the shelter today with 2 of her brothers and a sister who she shares a pen with. Her mum and other siblings were adopted. Shayla is wary of strangers and takes her time to trust people but once she does it is very rewarding.
