16-05-26 Xenon har kommit till oss från en avlare och söker nu ett älskande hem för alltid där hon kan börja sin nya liv. Hon är överväldigad av att vara här och har tyvärr inte fått mycket mänsklig kontakt tidigare, så hon kan vara ganska orolig vid handling just nu. Hon är särskilt nervös när hon är i sin kage och kommer att springa bort från dig, men när hon är utanför sin kage börjar hon ta sig ur sin skal och kommer även att krypa upp bredvid dig i lekzonen. Hon försöker redan så hårt som möjligt att vara modig och med tid, tålamod och mycket omsorg tror vi att hon kommer att blomstra i ett hem. Även om Xenon är en orolig flicka, tror vi att hon bäst passar att bo som enda hund eftersom hon inte är intresserad av att dela sitt rum med andra hundar. Hon söker ett lugnt och stilla hem där hennes mottagare är närvarande de flesta av tiden. Hon behöver mottagare som har erfarenhet av räddade räddade hundar och som låter henne anpassa sig på egen hand, och vi kan överväga att lämna henne till äldre, hundvana ungdomar 16+. Eftersom Xenon aldrig har bott i ett hem tidigare, måste hennes mottagare vara tålmodiga och förstående medan hon lär sig allt om hemlivet och nya färdigheter som toalettträning. Hon börjar bara lära sig att gå på lejon och kudd och kommer att behöva fortsatt stöd och övning när hennes självförtroende växer. Med tid, kärlek och vänlighet kommer hon att börja lämna sitt förflutna bakom sig och förstå hur fantastisk hennes framtid kan bli.

Xenon has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving forever home where she can finally begin the life she deserves. When she first arrived, she found everything incredibly overwhelming and was very anxious around people, especially when inside her kennel. Since then, Xenon has come such a long way and it has been wonderful to watch her confidence grow. It is heartbreaking that Xenon is still waiting for her forever home while all of her siblings have been adopted, because she really is such a special girl. Once she knows and trusts you, Xenon is incredibly affectionate, loyal and loving. She enjoys being close to her favourite people and has formed lovely bonds with the team who care for her every day. Xenon can still be nervous when meeting new people and will often shy away at first, but it doesn't take her long to realise they mean her no harm. With a little patience and kindness, her true personality quickly shines through. Every day she has been building her confidence by exploring new areas of the rescue, and the progress she has made has been incredible. What once felt far too frightening for her is now something she takes in her stride, showing just how much she is learning to trust the world around her. Although Xenon is a worried girl, we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in her new home. She has been assessed with a variety of dogs and is happy to walk alongside them or share open spaces, but she does not enjoy dogs entering her personal space and can become uncomfortable if they get too close. We believe that, with continued positive experiences, she may become more confident around unfamiliar dogs in the future, but for now she will need to be the only pet in the home and cannot live with cats. Xenon will be looking for a calm and quiet home where her adopters are around most of the time. She would benefit from experienced adopters who understand nervous rescue dogs and are happy to let her settle at her own pace. She could share her home with older, dog-savvy teenagers aged 16 and over who can respect her space and understand that she may need a little time to warm up. As Xenon has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she continues learning about home life, including house training and all the everyday routines that come with being part of a family. She has been making lovely progress with her lead and harness training and is growing in confidence with every new experience. Xenon really is one of the easiest and most loving girls you could hope to meet. All she needs is someone willing to look beyond those first few nervous moments and give her the chance she deserves. In return, they will gain a loyal, affectionate companion who will reward their patience a thousand times over.
