16-05-26 Xenon est arrivée chez nous par un éleveur et cherche maintenant un foyer aimant pour la vie entière où elle pourra commencer sa nouvelle vie. Elle est submergée d'être ici et n'a clairement pas eu beaucoup d'interactions humaines auparavant, donc elle peut être assez anxieuse lorsqu'on la manipule en ce moment. Elle est particulièrement nerveuse lorsqu'elle est dans sa cage et fera même de l'effort pour s'échapper, toutefois, une fois hors de sa cage, elle commence à sortir de sa coquille et même à se blottir à côté de vous dans la cour de jeu. Elle essaie déjà si fort d'être courageuse et avec du temps, de la patience et beaucoup d'amour, nous pensons qu'elle prospérera dans un foyer. Bien que Xenon soit une jeune fille inquiète, nous croyons qu'elle serait mieux adaptée à un foyer où elle serait seule, car elle n'aime pas partager son espace avec d'autres chiens. Elle cherchera un foyer calme et tranquille où les adoptants seront présents la plupart du temps. Elle aura besoin d'adoptants qui ont de l'expérience avec des chiens de sauvetage effrayés et qui lui permettront de s'habituer à son propre rythme, nous pourrions envisager de la placer avec des adolescents plus âgés, expérimentés avec les chiens, de 16 ans et plus. Comme Xenon n'a jamais vécu dans un foyer auparavant, ses adoptants devront être patients et compréhensifs pendant qu'elle apprend tout sur la vie en famille et les nouvelles compétences telles que l'entraînement aux toilettes. Elle commence juste à apprendre à marcher avec une laisse et un harnais et aura besoin de soutien continu et de pratique alors qu'elle gagne en confiance. Avec le temps, l'amour et la gentillesse, elle commencera à laisser son passé derrière elle et à réaliser à quel point son avenir peut être merveilleux.

16-05-26 Xenon has come to us from a breeder and is now looking for a loving forever home where she can begin her new life. She is overwhelmed to find herself here and clearly hasn’t had much human interaction before, so she can be quite anxious about being handled at the moment. She is especially nervous when inside her kennel and will run away from you, however, once she is out of her kennel she begins to come out of her shell and will even snuggle up next to you in the play yard. She is already trying so hard to be brave and with time, patience and plenty of TLC, we think she will flourish in a home. Although Xenon is a worried girl, we feel she would be best suited to being homed as an only dog as she isn't keen on sharing her space with other dogs. She will be looking for a calm and quiet home where her adopters are around most of the time. She would need adopters who have experience with scared rescue dogs and who will let her settle in at her own pace and we may consider homing her with older, dog savvy teenagers 16+. As Xenon has never lived in a home before, her adopters will need to be patient and understanding while she learns all about home life and new skills such as house training. She is just starting to learn about walking on a lead and harness and will need continued support and practice as her confidence grows. With time, love and kindness she will begin to leave her past behind her and realise just how wonderful her future can be.
