Bolek - a ringleader, a guard, and a self-proclaimed boss of the duo Bolek and Lolek. He is 8 years old, weighs about as much as a decent loaf of bread, and is a shade of milk chocolate with nuts. He looks unassuming, but that’s just a clever smoke screen. He arrived at the animal shelter with Lolek, and it quickly became clear that this wasn’t just a casual acquaintance. Bolek treats Lolek like a younger partner in crime, a protected client, or a member of a very exclusive organization where he is the president, guard, and press spokesperson all at once. The dogs are very close and we would very much like to find them a common home. It’s Bolek who makes the decisions, checks the premises, and is the first to report any irregularities. By “any irregularities,” we mean, among other things: other dogs, suspicious lists, too energetic pigeons, and situations where the world isn’t spinning quite enough around Bolka. On walks, he moves very nimbly and walks nicely on a leash. At the same time, it’s worth noting that he can be rather direct with other dogs. Bolek doesn’t believe in diplomacy. If he has something to say, he says it loud and clear, and so that the whole neighborhood can hear. And he usually has something to say. He still needs a neutering procedure. He also has undiagnosed issues with his hind legs, which will require further diagnosis. We are looking for a caregiver who understands that a chihuahua is a full-fledged dog, not just a purse accessory. Bolek doesn’t dream of being a trendy accessory. He dreams of managing his territory, controlling walks, and looking after Lolek. And to be honest, he does it pretty well.

Bolek - kierownik zamieszania, ochroniarz i samozwańczy szef duetu Bolek i Lolek. Ma 8 lat, waży mniej więcej tyle, co porządniejszy bochenek chleba, i jest w kolorze mlecznej czekolady z orzechami. Wygląda niepozornie, ale to tylko sprytna zasłona dymna. Do schroniska przyjechał razem z Lolkiem i szybko stało się jasne, że nie jest to zwykła znajomość. Bolek traktuje Lolka jak młodszego partnera w zbrodni, klienta pod ochroną albo członka bardzo ekskluzywnej organizacji, której jest prezesem, ochroniarzem i rzecznikiem prasowym jednocześnie. Psiaki są ze sobą bardzo zżyte i bardzo chcielibyśmy znaleźć im wspólny dom. To właśnie Bolek podejmuje decyzje, sprawdza teren i jako pierwszy zgłasza wszelkie nieprawidłowości. A przez „wszelkie nieprawidłowości” rozumiemy między innymi: inne psy, podejrzane liście, zbyt energiczne gołębie oraz sytuacje, w których świat nie kręci się wystarczająco mocno wokół Bolka. Na spacerach porusza się bardzo sprawnie i ładnie chodzi na smyczy. Jednocześnie należy wspomnieć, że do innych psów bywa dość bezpośredni. Bolek nie wierzy w dyplomację. Jeśli ma coś do powiedzenia, mówi to natychmiast, głośno i tak, żeby usłyszała cała dzielnica. A zwykle ma coś do powiedzenia. Przed nim jeszcze zabieg kastracji. Ma również niezdiagnozowane problemy z tylnymi łapkami, które będą wymagały dalszej diagnostyki. Szukamy dla niego opiekuna, który rozumie, że chihuahua to pełnoprawny pies, a nie wyposażenie torebki. Bolek nie marzy o byciu modnym dodatkiem. Marzy o zarządzaniu swoim terytorium, kontrolowaniu spacerów i pilnowaniu Lolka. I szczerze mówiąc, całkiem dobrze mu to wychodzi.
