Adopt Ash and Brock

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Ash and Brock are an inseparable pair of Collie Crosses searching for a special home where they can continue life's adventures side by side. Ash is the confident explorer of the duo. He loves nothing more than heading out for a woodland stroll where he can sniff every interesting scent along the way. He enjoys curling up beside his favourite people after a day of adventures and is always ready to make you smile with his playful personality. Ash can occasionally become overwhelmed in busy situations, so he will thrive in a calm home with a predictable routine. Brock is the gentler, more sensitive half of the pair. The world can feel a little daunting to him at times, and new experiences often require patience, reassurance and encouragement. Since arriving with us his confidence has blossomed, and one of the biggest reasons for that has been having Ash by his side. Brock adores carrying his toys around, enjoys quiet sniffy walks, and once he trusts you, he becomes incredibly affectionate, leaning in for cuddles and happily soaking up all the fuss he can get. Ash and Brock would love a quieter home in a more peaceful area where they can enjoy relaxed walks without the hustle and bustle of busy environments. They are looking for adopters who understand that Brock may need a little extra time to adjust to his new surroundings and that both boys will benefit from patience, consistency and positive, reward-based training as they continue to build their confidence. They could live with sensible children aged 10 years and over who understand when dogs need space, but they are looking to be the only pets in the home so they can enjoy all of your love and attention together. If you have a calm home, plenty of patience and room in your heart for two wonderful best friends, Ash and Brock are ready to begin their next chapter with you. About Adopt Ash and Brock

What life with Adopt Ash and Brock looks like

Adopt Ash and Brock is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hope Rescue in Pontyclun.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adopt Ash and Brock, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adopt Ash and Brock?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hope Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adopt Ash and Brock on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adopt Ash and Brock if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hope Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adopt Ash and Brock already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adopt Ash and Brock isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hope Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adopt Ash and Brock and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
