Astro is a young, excitable boy who loves being out and about exploring. When he’s not busy discovering the world, you’ll often find him happily playing with his toys. Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross Like many adolescents, Astro is still learning how to manage his excitement when meeting new people and can sometimes forget to keep all four paws on the ground! He would love a family with children aged 14+ who can get involved with his training and provide plenty of playtime and enrichment. Astro can find some new situations a little worrying as he continues to learn about the world around him. He will need patient adopters who can help build his confidence at his own pace. In particular, visits to the vets can be quite stressful for him, so he will need some extra support and positive experiences to help him feel more comfortable. Astro has enjoyed meeting dogs at the centre and generally gets along well with his canine friends. However, he can feel overwhelmed by very bouncy dogs and prefers to take his time getting to know them. Calm walks together before any off-lead introductions would help him feel more comfortable. He could potentially live with another calm, well-matched dog who enjoys a good play but will also understand when Astro needs a little space, pending successful meets at the centre.
