Mittens here! A few weeks ago I arrived at my foster home, still warm in the incubator. It soon became clear that I'm a feisty lady who knows exactly what she wants. After just one day of warming up, I felt completely comfortable and loved being cuddled and picked up. Eating? No problem! Sitting still... that's another story 😉 I'm a cheerful and energetic kitten with a real on/off switch. When I'm tired, I curl up in my favorite spot: a soft pile of blankets. But when I'm awake, I'm curious, playful, and love being around people. I come over to you and often follow you around to see what you're doing. I get along well with other cats and understand that not everyone always wants my enthusiasm. That's why I think I would do very well in a family, possibly with (gentle) children who want to cuddle and lift me up. Of course, I need my downtime hard, because I'm still growing. I eat and drink independently and know how to use the litter box (without a lid) already. So that's great! Right now, I live with Monaco. We are real opposites: I am energetic and present, while he is more quiet and modest. That's why we complement each other well. Hoi, ik ben Mittens! Een paar weken geleden kwam ik in mijn opvanggezin terecht, nog lekker warm in de couveuse. Al snel werd duidelijk dat ik een pittige dame ben die precies weet wat ze wil. Na één dagje opwarmen voelde ik me al helemaal op mijn gemak en vond ik het heerlijk om geknuffeld en opgepakt te worden. Eten? Geen probleem! Stilzitten… dat is een ander verhaal 😉 Ik ben een vrolijk en energiek kitten met een echte aan- en uitknop. Als ik moe ben, kruip ik lekker weg op mijn favoriete plekje: een zachte stapel dekens. Maar als ik wakker ben, ben ik nieuwsgierig, speels en graag in de buurt van mensen. Ik kom gezellig naar je toe en loop je vaak achterna om te kijken wat je aan het doen bent. Ik kan goed overweg met andere katten en begrijp dat niet iedereen altijd zin heeft in mijn enthousiasme. Daarom denk ik dat ik het ook heel goed zou doen in een gezin, eventueel met (voorzichtige) kinderen die mij willen knuffelen en optillen. Natuurlijk heb ik mijn rustmomenten hard nodig, want ik ben nog volop in de groei. Ik eet en drink zelfstandig en ik weet de kattenbak (zonder klepje) al goed te vinden. Dat doe ik dus super! Op dit moment woon ik samen met Monaco. Wij zijn echte tegenpolen: ik ben energiek en aanwezig, terwijl hij wat rustiger en bescheidener is. Juist daardoor vullen we elkaar goed aan. We kunnen dan ook samen geplaatst worden, maar ik kan me ook prima aanpassen aan een ander gezellig thuis.
