I am Spider. That name was given to me by the people at the animal shelter, because on my first day – when everything was so exciting – I crawled a bit like a spider across the floor. It might sound a bit funny in hindsight, but at the time, I found it very exciting. Thankfully, I don't do that anymore and I feel much more secure now. Sometimes I also "smile" – then I show my teeth. It might look a bit unusual, but it's my own way of communicating. I am a cute and curious dog. I enjoy discovering new things and practicing with you. Some situations are still a bit exciting for me, so I'm looking for someone who can guide me calmly and give me the time to grow further. With other dogs, I am social and I usually find contact very enjoyable. Perhaps I can also find support from a stable dog, and we can experience the most wonderful adventures together. A house with very young children is not the best fit for me, because I find noise and unpredictability difficult. I feel most comfortable in a quiet environment where I can feel safe. Building up the ability to be alone still needs to be done calmly, so it would be nice if my new owner would be patient with that. Do you give me the time and trust? Mijn koffertje staat klaar, want ik ben op zoek naar mijn eigen thuis! Ik ben inmiddels gecastreerd en helemaal klaar voor een nieuw avontuur. Ooit kwam ik als zwerver in het asiel terecht. Sindsdien heb ik hier ontzettend veel geleerd en ben ik flink gegroeid. Ik heb ontdekt dat mensen hartstikke leuk zijn en ook met andere dieren kan ik goed overweg. Ik ben sociaal, gezellig en vind het heerlijk om samen dingen te ondernemen. Wandelen? Ja graag! Zwemmen? Nog liever! Een leuke uitdaging waarbij ik mijn koppie mag gebruiken? Kom maar op! Ik zoek dan ook een baasje dat samen met mij lekker actief bezig wil zijn en het leuk vindt om de wereld te ontdekken. Samen op pad, nieuwe dingen leren en vooral veel plezier maken: daar teken ik voor! Alleen thuis zijn vind ik nog best een dingetje. Dat zal rustig opgebouwd moeten worden, zodat ik stap voor stap leer dat mijn baasje ook altijd weer terugkomt. Met wat geduld en begeleiding heb ik er alle vertrouwen in dat we dat samen kunnen leren. Ik krijg op dit moment Gastro Intestinal brok. Het is belangrijk dat ik dit gedurende een tijd krijg en wellicht is langzaam overgaan op andere brok mogelijk, maar misschien moet ik dit wel levenslang krijgen. Af en toe een snack is prima, maar bij teveel raakt mijn buik van slag, dus hier moet wel rekening mee gehouden worden. Ik heb hier veel geleerd en ben nu klaar om op eigen pootjes te staan.
