European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 3 months

I was quite nervous at first. The vet, the shelter, the car ride... it was a lot to take in. I preferred to hide somewhere quiet. When I moved into my foster home, I had to get used to that too. Mittens, my housemate, made her presence known right away and let me know this was her place. But luckily, things got better quickly. After a few days, I discovered that playing is actually really fun and people can be quite nice. I'm a calm, gentle, and sweet cat. Nowadays, I come to you for cuddles and enjoy sitting with you. I don't always stand out, but don't let that fool you: I definitely pull off some mischief — just in a more subtle way. When I'm tired, I like to retreat and find a quiet spot to sleep. At home, I learned how everything works. At first, I didn't understand that I could just go downstairs when the door was open, but Mittens quickly taught me. She likes to lead the way and I follow her calmly. When I first arrived here, I was very hungry and a bit thin, but I've caught up well now. I eat and drink well and know how to find the litter box without a lid. I would fit best in a quiet home where I can blossom at my own pace. I live with Mittens now and we could potentially be placed together. We are very different: Mittens is energetic, curious, and outgoing, while I'm more laid-back and modest. That's why we complement each other well. It would be nice if my future owner understands that we both have our own personalities. Oh, and one more thing: in photos, I look black, but that's not quite right. I have a light tiger coat with a warm reddish glow. I'm curious to see what I'll look like when I grow up! Are you looking for a sweet, calm cuddler (possibly with a playful companion)? Then I'd love to meet you. If you want to offer me a home, please fill out the intake form below so we can schedule an initial meeting. Before bringing a cat into your home, we want to make sure you know what it entails. Read through this LICG pet handbook. Do you have any questions? We'd be happy to answer them.

NL·Show original

About Adoptiepagina

What life with Adoptiepagina looks like

Adoptiepagina is a medium-sized puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at ROZE Eindhoven in Netherlands.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adoptiepagina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adoptiepagina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ROZE Eindhoven handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adoptiepagina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adoptiepagina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ROZE Eindhoven will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adoptiepagina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adoptiepagina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ROZE Eindhoven early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adoptiepagina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
