I am a beautiful calico cat about 1 year old. When I arrived at the shelter, I looked a bit like a wild cat. But appearances can be deceiving, as it soon became clear that under that tough exterior is a sweet girl who likes to make contact with people. I did need some extra care when I first arrived. I had the so-called Dolly Parton syndrome, where the mammary glands on both sides can be unevenly developed or swollen. Additionally, my ears were very dirty. Fortunately, I received all the time and good care and have since been sterilized, fully recovered and ready for a new start. In a new environment, I still need some time to adjust. Strange noises can startle me, so I need some peace and patience. But as soon as I feel safe, I'd love to show my sweet character. I love cuddling and head-butting. I'd love to come to you to rub against you and enjoy attention. That's much more interesting to me right now than playing. Maybe that will come when I feel completely at home; I'm still young. I'm looking for a quiet home with someone who gives me time to get used to things at my own pace. Don't expect me to dare everything right away, but give me the chance and you'll discover what a sweet and affectionate cat I am. My tough exterior doesn't tell the whole story. Ik ben een prachtige lapjespoes van ongeveer 1 jaar oud. Toen ik in het asiel kwam, zag ik er een beetje uit als een verwilderd poesje. Maar schijn bedriegt, want al snel bleek dat onder dat stoere uiterlijk juist een lieve meid zit die graag contact maakt met mensen. Ik had bij binnenkomst wel wat extra verzorging nodig. Ik had het zogenaamde Dolly Parton-syndroom, waarbij de melkklieren aan beide kanten wat ongelijk ontwikkeld of opgezet kunnen zijn. Daarnaast waren mijn oortjes erg vies. Gelukkig kreeg ik alle tijd en goede zorgen en inmiddels ben ik gesteriliseerd, helemaal hersteld en klaar voor een nieuwe start. In een nieuwe omgeving moet ik nog wel even wennen. Vreemde geluiden kunnen mij laten schrikken en daarom heb ik behoefte aan wat rust en geduld. Maar zodra ik me veilig voel, laat ik graag mijn lieve karakter zien. Ik ben namelijk dol op kroelen en kopjes geven. Ik kom graag naar je toe om even lekker tegen je aan te wrijven en geniet volop van aandacht. Dat vind ik op dit moment veel interessanter dan spelen. Misschien komt dat nog wanneer ik me helemaal thuis voel; ik ben tenslotte nog jong. Ik zoek een rustig thuis bij iemand die mij de tijd geeft om op mijn eigen tempo te wennen. Verwacht niet dat ik meteen alles durf, maar geef mij de kans en je zult ontdekken wat een lieve en aanhankelijke poes ik ben. Mijn stoere uiterlijk vertelt dus niet het hele verhaal.
