Aischa

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Aischa is about one year old and approximately 50 cm tall. Her black fur is interrupted by a pretty white marking on her neck. But a closer look at Aischa reveals a small detail that tells a lot about her past: a red clip on her ear. This red ear clip indicates that Aischa has already been caught, spayed, and then released back onto the streets. She has probably lived as a street dog for some time before her life changed again. Dorel became aware of Aischa after seeing her in front of a supermarket, where she was apparently begging for food. For a dog living on the streets, a supermarket is a convenient place to find some friendly people who might give her something to eat. Dorel did not want Aischa to continue fighting for survival on the streets, so she took her to the shelter. There, Aischa shows herself to be a friendly and rather quiet dog. She is generally affectionate towards people, although she can sometimes be a bit skeptical and uncertain at first. One gets the impression that people may not always have been kind to her. This uncertainty is particularly evident when she is being touched: when Aischa is being stroked, she can initially be tense and not really enjoy the caress. It's almost as if she is waiting for something unpleasant to happen after the friendly hand. Aischa is not aggressive at all. She just needs a moment to understand that nobody wants to hurt her here. And that's when something wonderful happens: with some time and patience, the tension subsides and Aischa begins to really enjoy the caress. Then she is visibly happy about the closeness and shows how much she actually wants human affection. Aischa also gets along well with other dogs. She doesn't always have to be in the middle of the action. Sometimes she just sits relaxed beside them and watches the others play. And sometimes it gets her and she joins in the middle of the commotion, runs around and frolics with the other dogs. Aischa is a pleasant social dog who can enjoy both rest and company. We wish Aischa people who give her time to build trust. She doesn't have to be a cuddly dog from the first minute on. It's much more important that her people understand that trust sometimes has to grow - and that every small step in the right direction is something special. Whoever gives her this time will get a loving and gentle dog who gradually discovers that hands can caress without hurting and that a home can be a place where she can feel safe. After a positive preliminary check and for a deposit, Aischa can travel to her new home spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and de-fleaed with an EU pet passport. Thank you to Kirsten R.! You gave Aischa her name and thus an identity. Status: 27.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Kirsten R.! Stand: 27.09.2026

About Aischa

What life with Aischa looks like

Aischa is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aischa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aischa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aischa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aischa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aischa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aischa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aischa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
