Geraldina 2026

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

Geraldina - a little dog girl who finally wants to find her own family. Geraldina did not have an easy start in life. Together with her sister Gertrude, she was simply abandoned as a small baby. Two tiny puppies who actually deserved only one thing: security, love, and people who show them how beautiful a dog's life can be. Fortunately, the two were found and were allowed to move into our partner animal shelter LIDA on Sardinia. There, Geraldina was lovingly cared for, vaccinated, chipped, and grew up in safety, gradually discovering how wonderful the world can be. But now Geraldina is missing only one thing for her great happiness: her own family. Geraldina is a young, loving dog girl who is curious to see what life has in store for her. She wants to play, sniff, discover, learn new things and of course collect lots of petting. There is still so much carefree joie de vivre in her - and we wish from the bottom of our hearts that she can live this out with her own people soon. Geraldina is probably, just like her sister, a small Labrador-Shepherd dog mix, probably knee-high when she is an adult. She is still young and has to get to know a lot. The dog's multiplication table is still at the beginning and she is not yet house-trained. But that's also something beautiful: you can show her how life works. With patience, loving consistency and lots of praise, Geraldina can learn everything she needs for a happy dog life. We wish Geraldina a loving family, preferably with children from about 6 years old. A house with a garden would be wonderful, because here she could sniff, play and explore her surroundings to her heart's content. But most important is that you have time for her and she doesn't just have to "run along". Geraldina wants to belong and discover the world with you. Maybe you have the desire to try Agility, Mantrailing, Dummy work or Nose work together with her? Even search games, small training sessions or long walks can give her a lot of joy. It's not about performance, but about the time together and about Geraldina being able to use her head and her body. And after all the adventures? Hopefully there will be a cozy bed and a lot of closeness. Geraldina has everything she needs to become a great family dog one day. She is young, curious and full of joie de vivre - and she has her whole life ahead of her. What she has been missing so far, she should finally get: a home where she is loved, people she can trust, and the certainty of belonging forever. Maybe you are exactly the person Geraldina has been waiting for. Pfoten Match e. V. However, the dogs must be picked up by their adopters at the handover point. If you want to know more about Geraldina, please contact her handler Corinna Alsleben.

About Geraldina 2026

What life with Geraldina 2026 looks like

Geraldina 2026 is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Pfoten Match e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Geraldina 2026, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Geraldina 2026?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfoten Match e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Geraldina 2026 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Geraldina 2026 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfoten Match e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Geraldina 2026 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Geraldina 2026 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfoten Match e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Geraldina 2026 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
