All Cats Aisha und Fipsy Drucken Published: 03. June 2026 Breed: EKH Age: unknown Gender: female neutered: no color: Aisha - tricolor, Fipsy - black-white husbandry: Suitable for apartment living / outdoor walks possible if needed Aisha und Fipsy are - along with Kratzbert, Kastiel, and Josh - two of the 33 rescued cats from the Marburg area. They lived under terrible conditions with at least 31 other fellow animals in a single apartment and were secured by the veterinary office and the local animal welfare association. We took in five of them. One can see the trauma Aisha und Fipsy have experienced, as they have not yet built trust with humans in such a short time. This is no wonder, given that the environment here is naturally stressful due to dog barking, visitors, etc. In a quiet environment with at most two primary caregivers, they will surely regain their trust. Time and patience are immensely important with such cats. Therefore, we understand if we cannot provide a really good character description at the moment. However, we can say: The two often lie together and thus, we do not want to separate their friendship. Fipsy became our animal shelter's mother. Due to the stress, she did not accept her babies, but fortunately, we had a mother with her kittens at the time, and so the little ones were accepted by the foster mother. Aisha likes to play with balls at night when everything is quiet, and she jumps around. Fipsy then lies very relaxed, stretched out on the carpet, grooms herself, and does her business. Aisha is very unsure around people and tries to keep them at a distance with hisses. However, she is more relaxed with her primary caregiver and responds well to soothing signals. One can see in these cats that they will only show their true character when it is quieter around them and they are in their "environment.". This cat needs outdoor access.

About Aisha und Fipsy

What life with Aisha und Fipsy looks like

Aisha und Fipsy is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Alsfeld in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aisha und Fipsy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aisha und Fipsy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Alsfeld handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aisha und Fipsy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aisha und Fipsy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Alsfeld will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aisha und Fipsy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aisha und Fipsy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Alsfeld early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aisha und Fipsy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
