With a heavy heart, I am searching for a new, experienced home for my degu lady, Akina. Akina turned six years old in May 2026 and has spent her entire life with her sister. After her sister’s passing, I wish to end the degu husbandry and hope to give Akina another chance at companionship and a loving home with experienced degu owners. Characteristically, Akina is a very curious and open-minded degu lady. She is attentive, enjoys exploring her surroundings, and can be a bit feisty at times. Food plays a significant role in her life – she eats heartily and does not share her favorite treats with others very often. She particularly enjoys nuts and her Snuggle Safe, on which she loves to relax and sleep. Akina is accustomed to a varied diet with herbs, leaves, and flowers. Health-wise, it is known that Akina tends to have dental issues and must be regularly monitored by a veterinarian. Dental corrections were necessary in November 2025 and most recently at the beginning of May 2026. Currently, she eats normally, but is still under veterinary care and scheduled for a follow-up. It is important to address this point openly so that only responsible potential owners will contact me. Akina is located in 07743 Jena. For a truly suitable home, I am willing to drive up to 200 km or arrange a handover point. Akina will be rehomed for a small adoption fee. My focus is not on the amount but on finding a permanent, responsible home for Akina. The degu lady can bring, as needed, items such as an aluminum exercise wheel, two Snuggle Safes, any remaining food, vegetable pellets, bath sand, feeders, and corkbushes to her new home. Schweren Herzens suche ich für meine Degu-Dame Akina ein neues, erfahrenes Zuhause. Akina ist im Mai 2026 sechs Jahre alt geworden und hat ihr gesamtes Leben mit ihrer Schwester verbracht. Nach dem Tod ihrer Schwester möchte ich die Degu-Haltung beenden und wünsche mir für Akina deshalb noch einmal die Chance auf Gesellschaft und ein liebevolles Zuhause bei erfahrenen Degu-Haltern. Charakterlich ist Akina eine sehr neugierige und aufgeschlossene Degu-Dame. Sie ist aufmerksam, erkundet gerne ihre Umgebung und kann auch durchaus ein wenig frech sein. Futter spielt in ihrem Leben eine große Rolle – sie frisst für ihr Leben gern und teilt ihre Lieblingsleckereien nicht besonders gerne mit anderen. Besonders angetan haben es ihr Erdnüsse und ihr Snuggle Safe, auf dem sie sehr gerne entspannt und schläft. Akina ist an eine abwechslungsreiche Ernährung mit Kräutern, Blättern und Blüten gewöhnt. Gesundheitlich ist bekannt, dass Akina zu Zahnproblemen neigt und deshalb regelmäßig zahnmedizinisch kontrolliert werden muss. Zahnkorrekturen waren bisher im November 2025 sowie zuletzt Anfang Mai 2026 notwendig. Aktuell frisst sie normal, wird aber weiterhin tierärztlich betreut und zur Nachkontrolle vorgestellt. Mir ist wichtig, diesen Punkt offen anzusprechen, damit sich nur Interessenten melden, die bereit sind, diese Verantwortung zu übernehmen. Akina befindet sich in 07743 Jena. Für ein wirklich passendes Zuhause bin ich bereit, bis zu 200 km entgegenzufahren oder einen Übergabepunkt zu vereinbaren. Akina wird gegen eine kleine Schutzgebühr vermittelt. Mir geht es dabei nicht um den Betrag, sondern darum, für Akina ein dauerhaftes, verantwortungsvolles Zuhause zu finden.Die Degu-Dame bringt nach Bedarf gerne z.B. ein Laufrad aus Aluminium, Snuggle Safe (2 Stück), Futter was bis dahin noch übrig ist, Gemüseflocken, Badesand, Näpfe und Korkröhren mit in ihr neues Zuhause.
