Adopt Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

Danger averted. Thank you very much to all of you. UPDATE: Thanks to generous donations, the costs for the operation have been covered. Iris will be operated on January 10, 2024. Sincere thanks to all donors. Update January 12, 2024: Iris has recovered well from the operation and is already running around happily again! A swollen tumor on the mammary glands. With great sadness, we must share the concerning news about our beloved Hundeomi Iris with you. Since her arrival in January 2023 from the Romanian Smeura to our animal shelter, we were impressed by her remarkable resilience and brave will to survive. Iris has already undergone intensive treatment for ear and skin infections, dental problems, and her food allergy. Her coat and general health have remarkably improved since then. However, another obstacle has now appeared in her path - a swollen tumor on the mammary glands, which is causing her visible problems. Our veterinarian has thoroughly examined Iris and checked her blood values. Despite her advanced age, Iris is strong and could tolerate a necessary operation well. However, before any steps are taken to remove the tumor, further examinations must be carried out, including X-rays, to rule out metastases in other organs. Without surgery, Iris has no chance. The costs for this life-saving measure and the subsequent follow-up care amount to approximately 900 euros. In this difficult time, we sincerely ask you for support to give Iris the chance for a pain-free and happy life. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings us closer to this goal and helps protect Iris from further suffering. Together, we can make a difference and accompany our beloved Hundeomi on her journey. Share this message, donate, and let us together continue to fill the life story of Hundeomi Iris with love, care, and hope. Donations can be transferred directly to our account with the purpose "Help for Hundeomi Iris."

Herzlichen Dank an alle Spender.

About Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt

What life with Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt looks like

Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at 4animals! e.V. Hundeauffangstation HASt in Essen.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 4animals! e.V. Hundeauffangstation HASt handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. Can I adopt Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 4animals! e.V. Hundeauffangstation HASt will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 4animals! e.V. Hundeauffangstation HASt early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aktueller Notfall – Gefahr gebannt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
