Aladdin

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

Gorgeous boy Aladdin is a 8-year-old, medium-sized Crossbreed in the care of Love Underdogs in Waltham Abbey, Essex. He gets on with other dogs when out on walks but wants to be the only pet in an adult-only home. Aladdin is a goofy, bouncy boy who’s still discovering just how wonderful the world can be! This special lad has come such a long way since arriving with Love Underdogs , and every day they see a little more of the happy, playful dog he’s becoming. When Aladdin first arrived, the world felt like a very big and scary place. Harnesses and leads were very overwhelming for him and he would take himself far away if ever he saw one. But with time, patience, and lots of gentle encouragement, he’s learned that adventures can be fun! These days, he gets excited to see his harness come out and loves heading out for a little bit of exploring with a big smile on his face. Aladdin is looking for a calm, understanding, and experienced family who can continue to help him build confidence at his own pace. He’ll need plenty of visits and bonding time before heading home so he can learn to trust his new people fully — but once you’re in his circle, you’ll have a friend for life. True to his name, Aladdin is full of magic — his playful spirit and endless play bows can brighten even the cloudiest of days! He’s happiest when he’s being silly, playing with his toys, or showing off his signature grin that melts hearts everywhere he goes. About Aladdin

What life with Aladdin looks like

Aladdin is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aladdin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aladdin?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aladdin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aladdin if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aladdin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aladdin isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aladdin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
