Alania

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Alania has found her home! Her story: The little Alania was found together with her brother Knuddel in a remote village, about 70 kilometers from Bistrița. Both were severely underweight, full of lice, and had bloated bellies due to a heavy worm infestation. Now they are finally in safety and beginning to learn the beautiful sides of life. But to their great fortune, Alania still lacks her own family. Alania shows herself to be an open, loving, and cheerful puppy. She loves attention, enjoys cuddles, and is curious about everything new. At just three months old, she is in the discovery phase and will learn what family life means with patience and loving guidance. As a Husky mix, Alania is likely to be one of the more active dogs that need movement, clear structures, and mental stimulation. Huskies are known for their intelligence, sensitivity, and independence, qualities that make them fascinating but sometimes challenging companions. Therefore, it can happen during puberty that Alania tests her boundaries and needs a good measure of patience, humor, and loving consequence. With clear orientation, positive upbringing, and enough mental stimulation, she will develop into a loyal, balanced companion who stands by her people through thick and thin. She will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport and rehomed. If you want to show the little Alania how beautiful a protected life can be and open up a world full of love and security for her? A big thank you goes to Sabsi! You have given Alania not only an identity but also the chance at a new life. As of October 28.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 28.10.2025

About Alania

What life with Alania looks like

Alania is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alania, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alania?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alania on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alania if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Alania already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alania isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alania and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
