Sadly, due to a change in circumstances, Albert is being left alone for longer periods of time, which is increasing his anxiety. His family feels he deserves a home where he can receive the love, companionship, and stability he truly needs. This sweet boy is full of energy. He loves long walks, spending time outdoors, and is happiest when he’s active and engaged. Like many dachshunds, he has a strong prey drive and may try to chase smaller animals, including cats. Albert doesn’t mind smaller sized dogs but is known to be reactive to big white fluffy dogs. Albert finds it very difficult being left alone, he struggles to settle and can become destructive when bored, so he needs a home where someone is around most of the time. With patience, consistency, and ongoing training, Albert has the potential to thrive. He’s a clever lad who loves his food, learns quickly, and already knows some fun tricks, his latest including Paw and Sit! He loves cuddles and being close to his family members. Albert would be best suited to a calm, adult(s) or loving family who can provide him with companionship, plenty of cuddles, and the guidance he needs to grow into a confident, well-mannered boy. In return, he will bring endless love, energy, and joy into your life.
