Adopt Suzie

Female · Adult · 7 years

Crewe 7 years old Female, Miniature dachshund Black and tan, smooth coat Not neutered Adoption fee is £350 Suzie has come back into our care through no fault of her own after she was adopted just last year. Sadly her adopter become ill and so made the difficult decision to re-surrender her. She is currently in foster care, who describes her as a happy and confident little girl with a lovely personality and has settled into a routine quickly with no issues. When she first arrived at her foster home, she had a good sniff round and within an hour she was curled up on their lap and soon fell asleep on the sofa. She loves her food and eats well, she doesn’t beg for human food, and she will take her dog treats off you gently. She has resource guarded food in the past but only when there is no structure with her feeding. She loves her routine, having a morning walk, her morning meal, napping on the sofa or sunbathing in the garden before having another walk and dinner. Suzie is toilet trained and has had no accidents in the house whilst in foster. She can be left alone for up to 4 hours and has no issues travelling in the car. She’s not interested in toys but loves to dig and sniff for treats on her snuffle mat! Suzie has a high prey drive so can’t be homed with cats or other pets. Suzie can be reactive to other dogs both inside and outside of the house having had problems with another resident dachshund in her original home we feel she would benefit from being an only dog. But Suzie just loves her human company; she’ll quite happily sit next to you on the sofa and settles down quickly. If you want an active happy and confident dachshund who loves long walks and cuddles on the sofa then Suzie is the girl for you! She is a well-rounded dachshund who would easily fit in and be a great addition to a loving home with no other dogs or other pets.
