Alfred is a 4-year-old tomcat who came to the shelter as semi-wild. His history was not easy. He lived away from people and had no chance to find out that humans can mean safety. When he was caught, he defended himself in great fear against touch and scratched the person trying to help him. Therefore, he went on a two-week observation, during which he stayed in complete isolation. Unfortunately, this experience deepened his fear and distrust even more. Currently, Alfred is in cat quarantine (building no. 4). He still avoids contact with humans, is withdrawn and feels safest away from the caregiver. However, he is not an aggressive cat - his reactions are due only to fear and lack of trust. We are looking for a special home for Alfred - calm, patient and above all experienced in caring for anxious or semi-wild cats. A caregiver who will not expect immediate contact, but allow him to tame the world and humans at his own pace. Perhaps Alfred may never become a typical cat that loves stroking, but with the right amount of time, empathy and understanding he has a chance to find peace and a sense of security.

Alfreda to około 4-letnia kotka, która do schroniska trafiła jako dzika. Jej historia nie należała do łatwych. Żyła z dala od ludzi i nie miała okazji przekonać się, że człowiek może oznaczać bezpieczeństwo. Gdy została odłowiona, w ogromnym strachu broniła się przed dotykiem i podrapała osobę próbującą jej pomóc. W związku z tym trafiła na dwutygodniową obserwację, podczas której przebywała w całkowitej izolacji. Niestety to doświadczenie jeszcze bardziej pogłębiło jej lęk i nieufność. Obecnie Alfreda nadal unika kontaktu z człowiekiem, jest wycofana i najbezpieczniej czuje się z dala od opiekuna. Nie jest jednak kotem agresywnym – jej reakcje wynikają wyłącznie ze strachu i braku zaufania. dla Alfredy szukamy wyjątkowego domu – spokojnego, cierpliwego i przede wszystkim doświadczonego w opiece nad kotami lękowymi lub półdzikimi. Opiekuna, który nie będzie oczekiwał natychmiastowego kontaktu, lecz pozwoli jej oswajać świat i człowieka we własnym tempie. Być może Alfreda nigdy nie stanie się typowym kotem uwielbiającym głaskanie, ale z odpowiednią dawką czasu, empatii i zrozumienia ma szansę odnaleźć spokój oraz poczucie bezpieczeństwa.
