Alhi is no longer the fearful cat and cracra who lived for several months in a parking lot. Today, after several months in a very comfortable home, he has reborn a beauty... But it's not just his physics that has improved: Alhi is now much better in his feet, and much more confident with humans. It took him time to trust... He would run into our legs when we were going to feed him in his parking lot, but it was probably to get the attention and the occupation that he cruelly lacked during the long days he spent hidden, to survive... and it was mostly hiding a worried little cat who suffered a lot from his life outside. We didn't force anything with Alhi, he had the space he needed to get used to his foster home. Once this step was successful, he made great impulses towards humans, but still being worried and ambivalent. He was clearly uncomfortable but still wanted proximity. We let him move at his own pace, little progress by little progress... As time went on, Alhi got some assurance. Today, you just have to call him once so that he mials, gets up quickly and gets out of the way by giving big blows. And then we went for a big hug session, with an Alhi snoring and a little slender: too happy. Today he likes to sit on the bed or couch, close to us or the head laid on us. And progress is not over! The game has helped to make it more comfortable in the presence of movements: it is fond of balls and fishing rods. He will need to be played with him to spend both physically and mentally. We feel Alhi ready for an adoption, in a home that will fit him well: an apartment or a house without access to the outside with ideally a friend cat because he is very happy..

Alhi n'est plus le chat peureux et cracra qui vivait depuis plusieurs mois sur un parking. Aujourd'hui, après plusieurs mois dans un foyer d'accueil bien confortable, il s'est refait une beauté… Mais il n'y a pas que son physique qui s'est amélioré : Alhi est aujourd'hui beaucoup mieux dans ses pattes, et beaucoup plus en confiance avec les humain•es. Il lui a fallu du temps pour accorder sa confiance… Il accourait pourtant dans nos jambes quand on allait le nourrir sur son parking, mais c'était sûrement pour obtenir de l'attention et de l'occupation dont il manquait cruellement pendant les longues journées qu'il passait caché, pour survivre… et cela cachait surtout un petit chat inquiet qui souffrait beaucoup de sa vie dehors. Nous n'avons rien forcé avec Alhi, il a eu l'espace dont il avait besoin pour s'habituer à son foyer d'accueil. Une fois cette étape réussie, il a fait de grands élans vers les humain•es, mais toujours en étant inquiet et ambivalent. Il n'était clairement pas à l'aise mais voulait quand même de la proximité. On l'a laissé avancer à son rythme, petit progrès par petit progrès… au fur et à mesure du temps, Alhi a pris de l'assurance. Aujourd'hui, il suffit de l'appeler une fois pour qu'il miaule, se lève rapidement et déboule en donnant de gros coups de tête. Et là, on est partis pour une grosse session de câlins, avec un Alhi tout ronron et un peu baveux : trop content. Il aime aujourd'hui se poser sur le lit ou le canapé, tout près de nous ou la tête posée sur nous. Et les progrès ne sont pas finis ! Le jeu a bien aidé les choses pour qu'il soit plus à l'aise en présence de mouvements : il est friand des balles et des cannes à pêche. Il aura besoin que l'on joue avec lui pour se dépenser physiquement mais aussi mentalement. Nous sentons Alhi prêt pour une adoption, dans un foyer qui lui correspondra bien : un appartement ou une maison sans accès à l'extérieur avec idéalement un copain chat car il est trèèèès content…
