Alina

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Mixed-breed Alina - ready for her first home Alina is one of six siblings rescued by our Bulgarian animal welfare colleagues. She now has a safe place, but this should not be her final destination. A shelter provides protection, but not a home where a young dog can discover and grow. That's why we hope Alina will soon find her people or a foster home. Alina is a friendly and loving young dog and gets along well with other dogs. Now she is waiting to learn all the things that belong to a dog's life with her people. Of course, she is still at the beginning. Housebreaking, leash walking, staying alone and the many unknown sounds and situations of everyday life must be learned first. With calm, patience and loving support, Alina will become more confident step by step. We wish for people who know that a puppy needs time. Not every day will be perfect and sometimes small setbacks are part of it. The more beautiful is to experience the development and grow together. Whoever wants to accompany Alina on her first steps will get a loyal companion for many years together. Alina is waiting for her chance - for people who show her how beautiful a home can be. Adopting a shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to settle into their new life. If you are seriously interested in adopting Alina, please contact the responsible SALVA Hundehilfe coordinator. We would also be very happy about the provision of a foster home.

About Alina

What life with Alina looks like

Alina is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Alina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
