Allu is approximately 4-6 years old, a spayed female cat. Allu is a tough cat who may need a bit more time to warm up. This cat has a unique personality! Allu only recently arrived at her current foster home, and it’s taken her a little while to settle in. She’s still a bit anxious and playful, but friendliness is enough in the right relationship. Getting to know the new cat sibling has also gone smoothly. Even though she’s still a bit playful, it doesn’t stop Allu from loving attention, purring, and cuddles. You don’t need to wait long for this energetic little engine to start and for the purring to begin. Allu loves to be in your lap, and even play sessions have been enjoyable. She does well on a harness and enjoys treats. Feeding on a plate is fine, but the goal is to gradually improve her diet quality. Allu needs a bit of extra attention at home, as an X-ray revealed an abnormality in her hind leg, which affects her back. This results in a limp, which is noticeable. Allu also has a gait issue in her hind legs, known as “soft joints,” and her back is slightly drooping. Allu can still jump and move, as she has developed significantly, making her a good candidate for potential rehabilitation. Allu also had a really stiff ear flap, but a staph infection and ear issues have since cleared up. The sample was now clear, and these issues no longer bother Allu. The ear flaps have also become somewhat sensitive, which seems to affect her hearing a little. All of Allu’s ears have had to be removed multiple times, with annual ear checks and X-rays required. Allu experienced a complication during a nap, as her blood pressure dropped too low and her breathing paused for a moment. Allu was brought back to health quickly, but this is something to keep in mind for the future.

Allu on n. 4-6 -vuotias kiltti uroskissa. Allu on kova kissa maukumaan ja asiaa saattaa riittää pidemmäksikin aikaa. Tällä kissalla on omalaatuinen maukaisu! Allu on sopeutunut hyvin uuteen ensikotiinsa ja päivät kuluvat maukuessa, sohvalla nukkuessa sekä tarkkailemalla ikkunasta. Allu rakastaa parvekkeella olemista, joten Allun mielestä olisi aivan ihanaa jos loppuelämän kodissa olisi lasitettu parveke tai catio. Allu ei aluksi oikein ymmärtänyt leikkimistä tai lelujen tarkoitusta, mutta sitten leikkimisen maailma avautui Allulekin. Välillä huonekalut kolisevat kun Allu innostuu juoksemaan pallojen perässä. Vaikka leikkiminen on alkanut kiinnostamaan, ei mikään vedä vertoja rapsutuksille ja huomiolle. Ei tarvitse paljoa silittää kun tämä kehruukone jo käynnistyy ja leipien leipominen alkaa. Jos ensikodissa satutaan istahtamaan sohvalle, on Allu hetken päästä sylissä istumassa. Allun liikkuminen on parantunut, hyppiminen onnistuu sekä juoksuaskeleet ovat kehittyneet. Liikkuminen ei kuitenkaan aivan normaalilla tasolla ole, vaan esim. jalan liikkeistä heijastuu hermotusongelma. Allulle on otettu toistaiseksi kokeiluun gabapentiini. Ensikodissa huomattiin, että Allu käy päivän aikana todella monta kertaa laatikolla. Asiaa tutkittiin eläinlääkärissä ja epäilyksenä on hermotusongelman aiheuttama vaiva, jossa rakko ei pääse kerralla tyhjentymään kunnolla. Allu voi tarvita lääkettä mahdollisesti loppuelämäkseen. Allulla on ollut todella jämäkkä korvapunkki, kokkibakteeri sekä hiivaa. Näyte oli onneksi puhdas eikä tämä vaivaa Allua enää.
