Adopt AMICA

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 2 months

AMICA and their mother Paula, along with their nine siblings, were saved from the kill shelter. Meanwhile, this little dog family has settled in well, and all are ready for their own home. Currently, there are still few character differences among the siblings, but we would roughly assess Amica's temperament as average. At our shelter, the little ones are currently getting to know fellow animals of all sizes and ages to lay the foundation for extensive socialization. In the coming weeks, they will also learn to walk on a leash and life in the house alongside our volunteers. We are now searching for a home for AMICA where she can experience a loving but also consistent upbringing. We would be happy for the young female dog to move to motivated beginners, provided that competent dog training support is ensured at the beginning to prevent any mistakes from creeping into the upbringing.

About AMICA

What life with AMICA looks like

AMICA is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting AMICA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about AMICA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw AMICA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt AMICA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is AMICA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if AMICA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Transilvania e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know AMICA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
