Hello, I am Anjali and have been waiting here at our shelter for several years for my new home. Maybe you are the right person for me. If so, you will have a lot of fun with me. For I am cuddly and clingy, and although I am already twelve years old, I do not belong to the old iron—quite the opposite. I am eager to learn and pick up new things and am ready for any activity. Additionally, I can already do quite a lot, carrying out all the important signals like sit, stay, or recall reliably and walking calmly on a loose leash. However, if you want to meet me, you should know that I can be initially skeptical around new people due to my insecurity and need time to build trust. If I feel too much pressure, I will use my teeth to create more space. Therefore, my new people should primarily bring patience and give me time and space to settle into my new home. By the way, my new home should be a quiet place without children or other animals. For with a lot of chaos, I do not fare so well, and I do not need other dogs; I have enough people who are happy to spend a lot of time with me. I wish for a loving but consistent relationship and a person who shows me the necessary boundaries and gives me security. Otherwise, I will try to handle uncomfortable situations myself and become a control freak. A job that actually overloads me. Hallo, ich bin Anjali und warte nun schon einige Jahre hier im Tierheim auf mein neues Zuhause. Vielleicht bist du ja der richtige Mensch für mich. Wenn ja, wirst du viel Freude mit mir haben. Denn ich bin verschmust und anhänglich und obwohl ich schon zwölf Jahre alt bin, gehöre ich noch lange nicht zum alten Eisen – ganz im Gegenteil. Ich lerne gern und schnell Neues und bin für jede Aktivität zu haben. Außerdem kann ich schon eine ganze Menge, führe alle wichtigen Signale wie Sitz, Platz oder den Rückruf zuverlässig aus und laufe problemlos an der lockeren Leine. Wenn du mich kennenlernen möchtest, solltest du aber wissen, dass ich bei neuen Menschen aus Unsicherheit erstmal skeptisch bin und etwas Zeit brauche, bis ich Vertrauen gefasst habe. Macht man mir zu viel Druck, nutze ich meine Zähne, um mir mehr Raum zu verschaffen. Meine neuen Menschen sollten also vor allem Geduld mitbringen und mir Zeit und Raum geben, mich im neuen Zuhause einzuleben. Apropos neues Zuhause: Dort sollte ich mich in Ruhe zurückziehen können, ohne Kinder oder andere Tiere. Denn mit viel Trubel komme ich nicht so gut zurecht und andere Hunde brauche ich nicht; mir reichen meine Menschen, die mir gerne viel Zeit widmen dürfen. Ich wünsche mir einen liebevollen, aber konsequenten Umgang und einen Menschen, der mir die nötigen Grenzen aufzeigt und mir Sicherheit gibt. Denn sonst versuche ich unangenehme Situationen selbst zu regeln und werde zum Kontrollfreak. Ein Job, der mich eigentlich überfordert.
