Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr

Female · Adult · 6 years

Our cat group, consisting of three females and four males, came to our shelter as an emergency through a foundation. Unfortunately, all were physically very weak at the beginning and needed intensive and time-consuming care from our animal caregivers. Slowly, our protégés are recovering and are looking for a new home. Daily, the once very shy cats are making progress. During cleaning, we are often targeted by curious eyes. And at feeding time, most of them appear, except for the suspicious Elsa, to eat together. However, it will still take time and empathy for many of our protégés until they can completely trust us humans. Each fur nose in this room has its own character traits. Anna is the most curious and active of all, Sven also shows himself to be very interested, Iduna & Olaf are reserved, but are in the middle of the feeding at the latest, Christoph & Agnarr are more of our observers and would rather observe the events from a distance. And Elsa, our shy female cat, only comes to play with her stuffed mice when she feels unobserved. For our darlings, we wish single or best in pairs, people who are patient and preferably already know how to deal with shy cats. They will not be passed on to "healthy" cats, for their protection. Children under 12 years of age should not live at the new location, as our cats should not take a step back in their development again. In addition, the seven should not be exposed to any stress as this could activate the viruses again. The cats are probably not familiar with dogs, but this would not be a negative criterion, as long as it is rather calm. Since the cats have lived in apartment living so far, they are open to apartment and free-range living. They will not be placed in the Obervaz area. If you are interested, please fill out the application form for cats. Breed: EHK Breeding country: probably Switzerland Location: Switzerland Gender: male & female, neutered Birth date: years from 2016 - 2023 Housing: Free range in a quiet area or at least 3.5 apartment living optimal with fenced balcony or garden

About Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr

What life with Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr looks like

Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr is an adult cat waiting at Tierheim und Tierhotel Arche Chur in Switzerland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim und Tierhotel Arche Chur handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim und Tierhotel Arche Chur will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim und Tierhotel Arche Chur early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anna & Sven und Iduna & Agnarr and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
