Annabell

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Annabell has found her home! Her story: Annabell was rescued at a riverbank – far from the nearest village. It’s likely she was abandoned. Like many puppies in Romania, she was apparently unwanted. Fortunately, she was discovered in time – otherwise, she likely wouldn’t have survived much longer. The mouse was already traveling to a foster home in Germany, where she is now learning the first lessons of puppy 1×1. The playful young female dog shows herself to be curious and confident there. She loves to jump into the water to splash around joyfully. Puppy-like, Annabell still has the occasional difficulty following rules and commands. Here, clear rules and structure are needed, as the phase of puberty is still ahead of our wild fluff ball. During this hormonal transition, previously learned lessons of the puppy ABC are likely to be mixed up or forgotten from time to time. Clear rules and structure will help Annabell become a great and obedient young dog. She can already walk on a leash quite well. House training and being left alone are currently being trained. According to her herding dog genes, she already displays territorial behavior and pays great attention to keeping her human pack together. Her forever home should have a garden and be in a rural area, because Annabell needs lots of space for movement and development. A confident single dog can happily be by her side. However, the phase of getting to know each other and settling in should happen under observation. Are you, as an experienced dog lover, ready to share your life with our whirlwind? She is still not spayed due to its age. Many thanks, Tanja H., for taking on her nametag sponsorship. Status: 13.08. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 13.08.2025

About Annabell

What life with Annabell looks like

Annabell is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annabell, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annabell?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annabell on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annabell if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annabell already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annabell isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annabell and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
