Adopt Annabella

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 9 months

Annabella and Angelina were handed over to our partner Paola by a lady who had rescued them from an emergency situation. The two beautiful and friendly kittens were fortunately well and quickly became very close to their foster mom. At the photo shoot, both were quite excited, especially Annabella, who was constantly on the move, making it difficult to stage them ideally. Annabella and Angelina are now ready to embark on their journey to Germany to find their dream home here. On March 28, 2026, Angelina and Annabella arrived at their German foster home. If you would like to welcome the lovely Annabella (preferably together with her sister Angelina) into your family, we look forward to your message. She will not be placed in a single-cat household. For our cats, we prefer homes that are suitable for apartment living with connected balconies or secure terraces. An enclosed (netted) balcony is required for cat safety.

About Annabella

What life with Annabella looks like

Annabella is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at ProTier e.V. in Germany.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annabella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annabella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ProTier e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annabella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annabella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ProTier e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annabella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annabella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ProTier e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annabella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
