Adopt Annabella

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Native Country: Hungary The charming puppy siblings Annabella and Mirabella (likely Pulimischlings), were found together, slightly outside of Kecskemét in the forest and reported to the animal shelter on May 14, 2026. Not long in the world and already unwanted and cowardly rejected, their start in life could have been much better. Although the animal shelter is not the right place, they are together, have become siblings, and get the chance to live as a beloved family member. This heartwarming duo is now waiting for their people, who will accompany and never leave them. Annabella and Mirabella do not have to be rehomed separately. The siblings have fortunately coped well with their involuntary "adventure" and are still puppy-like, playful, curious, agile, and contact-loving, sometimes shy in new situations, and ready for any mischief. They are becoming more lively and curious every day. There is much to discover, even though their life is currently playing out behind bars. They are still very green and their new people should enjoy teaching them everything lovingly that a puppy needs to know for its later life as a full-fledged family dog. New owners should also be aware that puppyhood comes with a lot of joy, work, and responsibility to develop them into great companions. The siblings have no problems with their fellow animals and love playing and roughhousing with them. For the most beloved puppy siblings Annabella and Mirabella, we are searching for a loving and responsible home where they can enjoy extended and varied walks, adjusted to their age, where they get enough rest periods, where they are adequately exercised as a dog and for their age, and where they receive many cuddles every day. Then, a visit to dog training classes and full family integration, and the two can finally start their new lives in full. Two enchanting puppy siblings are ready for an adventure! Currently, both are still too young for spaying, which must be done by the new owners when they are old enough. The estimated final size is 36-46cm and the final weight is 10-16kg. On June 2, 2026, Annabella is 30cm and 4.8kg. The sisters can travel from around mid-July 2026 if they have found a home or foster home.

About Annabella

What life with Annabella looks like

Annabella is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annabella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annabella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annabella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annabella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annabella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annabella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annabella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
