Annie

Husky · Female · Young · 1 year

He is the dog you look at and say, "Oh, but how beautiful!" and then two minutes later you realize he needs to be able to live next to you. "Hello, I am Annie. I am a beautiful, fluffy husky girl who was found on the street, but it seems I had a home before. I am surprisingly kind to people: if you smile at me, I smile back; if you pet me, I purr; if you speak to me nicely, I am overjoyed. I love people, and they love me. But with dogs, it's a different story. I don't really love sharing. I am very determined, and I feel like I am the best single dog. And then there is a trait I cannot ignore: if I have to go, I go. Through a fence, over a wire, on a power pole… in a nutshell, anywhere that is not fully secure. Not out of malice, simply because I am determined, curious, and very trusting. That's why I need a guardian who takes this seriously and can provide me with a safe environment. A secure kennel in the backyard could be a good solution where I can rest when you're not around, so you can be at ease, and I won't be in danger. Instead, you get a dog who is the embodiment of love for people. A dog who purrs when you look at him. A dog who eagerly welcomes petting and kind words every day. If you're looking for a companion who wholeheartedly bonds with people, then Annie could be your girl."

HU·Show original

About Annie

What life with Annie looks like

Annie is a young adult husky dog waiting at description in Hungary.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. description handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — description will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with description early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
