Anton is very unnoticed in the shelter kennel. If he is not hiding in his crate, he quietly watches the activities in the yard. Despite his age, Anton appears very calm in the shelter kennel and hardly ever barks along with other dogs. He approaches strangers curiously, but easily retreats when the situation becomes tense. He eats from hands, but actual touching and handling are still too stressful for him. Anton has gotten along well with other dogs in the shelter kennel and is usually the one who avoids if there are words being said.

Anton on tarhalla kovin huomaamaton. Jos hän ei piileskele kopissaan, hän katselee hiljaisena tarhan tapahtumia. Hän vaikuttaa iästään huolimatta tarhalla hyvin rauhalliselta eikä esimerkiksi juuri koskaan hauku muiden koirien mukana. Hän suhtautuu vieraisiin ihmisiin uteliaasti, mutta vetäytyy herkästi kauemmas tilanteen käydessä jännittäväksi. Herkkuja hän käy syömässä kädestä, mutta varsinainen koskettaminen ja käsittely ovat hänestä vielä liian jännittäviä. Anton on tarhalla tullut hyvin toimeen muiden koirien kanssa ja hän on yleensä koirista se, joka väistää mikäli sanomista tulee.
