Anuschka

Female · Young · 2 years

I’m Anuschka—a big, sweet powerhouse of a dog. I’m bursting with energy, excitedly exploring the world, and looking for people who’d love to learn and grow together with me. Here’s the thing: I’ve just been found—I’m still quite impulsive and haven’t had much training yet. Learning to stay calm and respecting clear boundaries is something I’ll need to work on. But with a loving, consistent handler by my side, I’m sure I’ll make great progress—because I have a really good heart. I probably also find it hard to be left alone for any length of time. That’s why I’d love people who can give me plenty of time and are willing to help me gradually and patiently get used to being alone. In return, you’ll get a sweet, lively dog who’s simply fun to be around—even if she’s still a bit clumsy and full of silly antics. ☺️ I’d love a home with dog-experienced owners, preferably located on the outskirts of town or in the countryside, with a house and a securely fenced garden. My new people should enjoy teaching me the basics of doggy life. Kids are welcome in my new home—but they should already be older and steady, because I can sometimes get pretty rambunctious with all my joy for life. Would you like to meet me? If you’d like to offer a loving home to a spirited dog with lots of potential and are ready to work with me on calmness, training, and everyday confidence, I’d be thrilled to meet you. Together, we could become an amazing team!

DE·Show original

About Anuschka

What life with Anuschka looks like

Anuschka is a large young adult dog waiting at Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg in Berlin.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anuschka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anuschka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anuschka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anuschka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anuschka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anuschka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Berlin Falkenberg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anuschka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
