Anyż

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Anyż - a dog who is just learning to trust. Two abandoned puppies were found in the fields, far from people. One of them is Anyż - a dog that despite his short life has already experienced too much bad. He's a small dog with a gentle disposition, but for now he's very shy and withdrawn. He doesn't trust humans yet because past experiences haven't taught him that a person can be a source of safety. Every new situation fills him with fear, so he needs a caregiver who will give him time, patience and space to get used to the new world at his own pace. We are looking for a responsible home for him, which understands that trust is built in small steps. A home full of peace, warmth and understanding, where Anyż can feel truly safe for the first time. We believe that beneath the layer of fear lies a wonderful friend who is just waiting for his chance. All he needs is someone to show him that he will never have to be afraid of loneliness again. Will someone open their heart to Anyż and give him a new beginning?

PL·Show original

About Anyż

What life with Anyż looks like

Anyż is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Czekadełko in Poland.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anyż, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anyż?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Czekadełko handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anyż on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anyż if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Czekadełko will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anyż already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anyż isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Czekadełko early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anyż and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
