I’m Apollo, an attentive Malinois mix who loves keeping an eye on the world and is looking forward to joining a dog-savvy home. Here’s what I’m like: When meeting new people, I need a bit of time to build trust. But once I do, I’m a reliable, loyal companion. I’m a confident male dog who knows all the basic commands and enjoys playing with food toys. As is typical for Malinois, I’m alert and pay close attention to my surroundings. At the moment, I still tend to bark at other dogs when on leash, and it’ll take some time for me to fully trust new people as well. Also, I have a tendency to guard my toys. That’s why I’d love owners who can read my behavior and set clear, fair rules for me. I’m hoping for a calm home with experienced dog owners who understand and appreciate the unique qualities of the Malinois breed. A quiet environment without too much hustle and bustle would help me settle in more easily. I’m eager to keep learning and working together with my people. Patience, consistency, and understanding will help me grow into an amazing companion. Ich bin Apollo ein aufmerksamer Malinois-Mix, der die Welt gern im Blick behält und sich auf ein hundeerfahrenes Zuhause freut. Das bin ich: Bei neuen Menschen brauche ich etwas Zeit, um Vertrauen aufzubauen. Aber dann bin ich ein zuverlässiger, treuer Begleiter. Ich bin ein selbstbewusster Rüde, der die Grundkommandos beherrscht und sich gern mit Futterspielen beschäftigt. Malinois-typisch bin ich wachsam und beobachte meine Umgebung ganz genau. Bei anderen Hunden pöble ich derzeit noch an der Leine und auch das Vertrauen zu neuen Menschen muss sich erst entwickeln. Außerdem neige ich dazu, Spielzeug zu verteidigen. Deshalb wünsche ich mir Menschen, die mein Verhalten lesen können und mir klare, faire Regeln geben. Ich wünsche mir ein ruhiges Zuhause bei hundeerfahrenen Menschen, die die Eigenschaften eines Malinois kennen und schätzen. Eine ruhige Umgebung ohne viel Trubel würde mir den Start erleichtern. Ich möchte weiter lernen und gemeinsam mit meinen Menschen arbeiten. Geduld, Konsequenz und Verständnis helfen mir dabei, mich zu einem tollen Begleiter zu entwickeln.
