It said Apollo was shot if we didn't take him. As a “student” of a “ager” he had no longer liked one of the many lessons and probably fought. In the case of levies, he was quite thin and wore a spiked collar which can be bought in Germany but whose use is not allowed. His trust in humans has been thoroughly destroyed and there is a lot of patience and empathy to rebuild it. Unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to take care of Apollo enough. But so that he has a chance of resocialization (he reacted unpredictably in the case of ceremonies on the neck), we gave him to the hands of a professional dog trainer with dog board. Here he is practiced daily in the hope that he can eventually lead a normal dog life. There will certainly be a long way – but there are already successes. We find this opportunity has earned Apollo, even if the accommodation with training costs us several hundred euros a month. To ensure financing, we ask for your help! Es hieß, Apollo wird erschossen, wenn wir ihn nicht aufnehmen würden. Als „Schüler“ eines „Jägers“ hatte er sich eine der etlichen Lektionen nicht mehr gefallen lassen und hat sich wohl gewehrt. Bei Abgabe war er recht dünn und trug ein Stachelhalsband, welches in Deutschland zwar gekauft werden kann, aber dessen Verwendung nicht erlaubt ist. Sein Vertrauen in den Menschen ist gründlich zerstört worden und es bedarf sehr viel Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen dieses wieder aufzubauen. Im Tierheim haben wir leider nicht die Möglichkeiten, uns ausreichend um Apollo zu kümmern. Damit er aber eine Chance auf Resozialisierung hat (er reagierte unberechenbar bei Berühungen am Hals), haben wir ihn in die Hände einer professionellen Hundetrainerin mit Hundepension gegeben. Hier wird täglich mit ihm geübt, in der Hoffnung, dass er irgendwann ein normales Hundeleben führen kann. Es wird sicherlich ein langer Weg – es gibt aber auch bereits Erfolge. Wir finden, diese Chance hat Apollo verdient, auch wenn uns die Unterbringung mit Training mehrere Hunderte Euro im Monat kostet. Um die Finanzierung sicherzustellen, bitten wir um Ihre Hilfe!
