April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terrier · Female · Adult · 4 years

Hello everyone, my name is April. I found my way to Rain after a stay at stray kennels, where I recently gave birth to a beautiful litter of puppies. While my adorable babies have all found loving homes, I’m still searching for my own fresh start, which I’m hoping to find very soon. The team here describes me as incredibly friendly and affectionate. I love cuddles and have a charming habit of proudly parading my soft toys around, showing them to anyone who will give me attention. Though I’ve spent quite some time in kennels, I really don’t enjoy it. It tends to stress me out, which is why Rain has been kind enough to let me spend my days in the offices with some of their caring team members. I’m so grateful for this but I am looking forward to the day when I can leave kennel life behind me for good and find somewhere I can call my own. At just 4 years old, I’m still filled with youthful energy and playfulness, just like your typical Staffy! I get along with other dogs, so if you already have another furry friend, I’m confident I’d make a fantastic team with a neutered male. It would be best for us to meet to see if we could get on before sealing the deal though. As for cats, I am too energetic and playful for them, so it’s best I don’t live with them. Since I have recently given birth, I can’t be neutered just yet, which means I need a home where there are no unneutered males, but I’m sure we can find a perfect match! If you have children, please note that I can be bouncy at times. So it’s best if the children are over 8 years old. I would never forgive myself if I accidentally bumped into a little one because they were smaller than me. Now that you know a little about me, will you open your home to a loving girl like myself? My adoption fee is £350

About April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier

What life with April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier looks like

April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a adult staffordshire bull terrier dog waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know April – Staffordshire Bull Terrier and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
