Arabella

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female Β· Young Β· 2 years

Hey everyone, I am the super gorgeous Arabella! I originally came to YCR with my baby after we were found straying in a garden. I had to stay a little bit longer as it was confirmed that I was pregnant again. Now that my mummy duties are over, I am ready to find my furever home! I maybe a bit shy when we first meet but once I am settled, my lovely purrsonality will shine through! I am a super sweet girl that loves lots of fuss and attention. I love a good chin scratch and a stroke. I am a little bit of a nibbler but not in an unfriendly way. During my time at YCR it has been discovered that I have an allergy, this results in me having scabby patches mainly around my face, I have had treatment for this but the vets think I may have flare ups from time to time so my new owners will need to keep an eye on me and take me to the vets for treatment as and when needed. It is unknown how I would be with any dogs or cats but with the right introductions I should be ok, just no female cats please. I would like a home with children over 12 please. I would also love some outdoor access once I have settled. If you think you can give me the purrfect home please click the ' Apply Here' button and fill out my application. I look forward to meeting you. xxx

About Arabella

What life with Arabella looks like

Arabella is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arabella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arabella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arabella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arabella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Arabella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arabella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arabella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
