Adopt Arabeszk

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Name: Arabeszk born: ca. 01.09.2021 Gender: Female breed: Mongrel rescued: issued size: 45-50 cm Weight: 20-25 kg Social behavior: (x) very good ( ) good ( ) ok ( ) ok ( ) not interested ( ) very good to women: (x) good ( ) ok ( ) not interested in children) The female had an accident several days ago and instead of rushing immediately with her to the veterinarian, her holder simply tied her in the middle of garbage... The right front paw was almost destroyed, the entire upper part of its paw, the soft parts, the tendons and the bones of the toes missing. Although it is said that it had been hit by the car a few days ago - which is excluded, but the injury could even be older and the bones in the paw are so straight and separated in a line, which indicates a hive with a sharp object. And from here we leave it to your imagination... The foot was inflamed and brutally swollen. She had fever, but luckily she didn't seem to be missing. We tried long - in cooperation with the veterinarians - to save the leg of Arabeszk, but the wound only cured very-very slowly and unfortunately it did not use the whole leg at all. It was just down lifeless. Therefore we finally decided with the veterinarians that it is best for Arabeszk when the leg is amputated. The surgery and also the recovery afterwards went without complications and Arabeszk is very clear on three legs. Arabeszk is absolutely friendly to other dogs and she loves people. We hope that we will find a dream home for them despite their handicaps. Arabeszk waits vaccinated, chipped and neutered for her people forever. About Arabeszk

What life with Arabeszk looks like

Arabeszk is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noah Tierheim Ungarn in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arabeszk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arabeszk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noah Tierheim Ungarn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arabeszk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arabeszk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noah Tierheim Ungarn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arabeszk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arabeszk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noah Tierheim Ungarn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arabeszk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
