His story: A wish comes true—soon Arnan will be a program name! Arnan means "wish that comes true," and that's exactly what we hope for our handsome black guy. He comes to us like most dogs without a background. We don't know if he's been on the dangerous streets of Romania his whole life or if he was abandoned by "his" people. What we do know is that he suffers in the cold and overcrowded public shelter in Baia Mare, and as a black dog, he has it especially hard to find a family. Our little guy is about 4 years old and about 55 cm tall. Arnan has black fur, a white chest, and beautiful, amber eyes. He looks hopefully toward a new future with his own family. Arnan loves human attention and is always happy to receive the too-seldom cuddles from our staff. He also gets along very well with his fellow animals. Currently, he shares his pen with another male dog. For our beautiful black boy, we are looking for loving, patient adopters who want to show him the sunny side of life. Arnan has probably never lived in a house and is still unfamiliar with the rules of a house dog, like leash walking and house cleanliness. But he is an intelligent dog who wants to please. Therefore, we assume that he will learn the new rules very quickly if positive behavior is reinforced. He would definitely appreciate a visit to a positively working dog training class, as shared training will build his trust and strengthen the bond to his people. Arnan travels after a positive assessment. He is then vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas. In his travel bag, he packs his EU pet passport. Seine Geschichte: Ein Wunsch geht in Erfüllung- bei Arnan soll der Name bald Programm werden! Arnan bedeutet “Wunsch, der in Erfüllung geht” und genau das hoffen wir auch für unseren schwarzen Hingucker. Er kommt wie die meisten Hunde ohne Vorgeschichte zu uns. Wir wissen nicht, ob er schon immer auf den gefährlichen Straßen Rumäniens unterwegs gewesen ist oder ob er von “seinen” Menschen verlassen wurde. Wir wissen jedoch, dass er unter den Bedingungen im kalten und überfüllten öffentlichen Shelter von Baia Mare leidet und er es als schwarzer Hund besonders schwer hat eine eigene Familie zu finden. Unser Bub ist ca. 4 Jahre alt und ca. 55 cm groß. Arnan hat schwarzes Fell, eine weiße Brust und wunderschöne, bernsteinfarbene Augen. Er blickt hoffnungsvoll in eine neue Zukunft mit seiner eigenen Familie. Arnan liebt die menschliche Aufmerksamkeit und freut sich immer über die viel zu seltenen Streicheleinheiten unserer Mitarbeiter. Auch mit seinen Artgenossen versteht er sich hier sehr gut. Aktuell teilt er sich seinen Zwinger mit einem anderen Rüden. Für unseren schönen schwarzen Buben suchen wir liebevolle, geduldige Adoptanten, die ihm die Sonnenseite des Lebens zeigen wollen. Arnan hat vermutlich noch nie in einem Haus gelebt und kennt die Regeln eines Haushundes wie z.B. Leinenführigkeit und Stubenreinheit noch nicht. Doch er ist ein intelligenter Hund, der gefallen möchte. Daher gehen wir davon aus, dass er die neuen Regeln sehr schnell lernen wird, wenn erwünschtes Verhalten positiv verstärkt wird. Unterstützend würde er sich bestimmt über den Besuch einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule freuen, denn gemeinsames Training wird sein Vertrauen weiter aufbauen und die Bindung zu seinen Menschen stärken.
