Adopt Asher (Ашер)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

ADOPT ME, beautiful Asher! Our soldier friends rescued him from an abandoned house where he was on the edge of survival. The little one was in deep stress and started to scream loudly whenever he saw people. When Asher was handed over to us, he was physically fine, but there were all the signs of PTSD. He refused to eat and was afraid of everything. We don't know what caused this - explosions or human cruelty. And when Asher came to our Center, we directed all our efforts towards his rehabilitation. Love and care from the people around him, as well as the work of an animal behaviorist, gradually helped improve his condition. Asher is learning to trust people again, still fears new people, but happily interacts with those he knows. He lovingly communicates with other puppies and feels like a real owner in the Center. Asher is ~ 8-9 months; - 15 kg; - vaccinated and with a passport; - treated for parasites. Asher needs a patient and loving person who will be able to trust him and become a loyal friend. We ask you to share this post. Together we will find the best home for Asher faster. A minute of your attention is a step towards a happy life for him.

About Asher (Ашер)

What life with Asher (Ашер) looks like

Asher (Ашер) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast in Ukraine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

Frequently asked

Adopting Asher (Ашер), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Asher (Ашер)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Asher (Ашер) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Asher (Ашер) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Asher (Ашер) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Asher (Ашер) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast early rather than rehoming privately; they know Asher (Ашер) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
