ATENEO
Mixed Breed · Male
ATENEO ATENEO, born 08.07.2018, shoulder height approx. 70 cm, weight about 26 kg, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for Mediterranean diseases. ATENEO is a beautiful sighthound who came to the refuge from a colleague's animal shelter. He had been handed over to the refuge by his Galguero. Update 23.10.2026: ATENEO is a cheerful and thoroughly open-hearted male Galgo who has been a joy from day one. He approaches everyone without any reservations – man or woman, he simply likes everyone and quickly takes new acquaintances into his heart. At home, he shows his very uncomplicated side: he has been reliably house-trained from the start and sleeps peacefully through the night. For that, he loves to snuggle up in his "Flocke" (fluffy blanket) so he can start the next morning in a good mood. He has already developed a funny quirk: ATENEO is a little collector. He loves cushions and shoes, lovingly gathers them together and makes himself comfortable with them. Nothing gets destroyed in the process. Outside, he is a pleasant companion who walks nicely on a loose leash. Cars, cyclists, or barking dogs on the leash leave him completely unfazed. Whether he has a hunting drive is not yet clear. He is interested in other dogs during off-leash time, but remains polite and unobtrusive. He doesn't necessarily need the wild racing games anymore. The female dog at the foster home charms ATENEO in her own particular way: he picks up a lot from her, imitates her, and so works his way further into her heart each day. The only thing that still causes him a bit of unease is stairs. Here he simply needs a little more time and patience, which is perfectly fine. ATENEO longs for a loving home where he can simply arrive and bring in his wonderful personality. Contact: Julia Funke, Mail: info-friends.org or via WhatsApp.
