Adopt Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha

Male · Senior · 10 years

puppy Gusha seeks a loving home On foster care in 49751 Werpeloh The little Gusha originally came from Romania, where he was found alone on the street and came to an animal shelter. After a short time, he was allowed to travel to Germany. Gusha has a loving, curious, and lively nature. He gets along very well with the cats and the female dog at his foster home. He shows a very people-oriented side towards his trusted people and enjoys making contact. He also meets strangers and other animals in a friendly and open manner. On the way, Gusha already walks well on a leash. He learns quickly and it's simply fun to do something with the little one. He is also very interested in his environment and so far shows no fear of unfamiliar things. Additionally, he is easily led by his trusted people on the way. Age-wise, of course, he still has a lot to learn and has some ideas in his head. So he takes everything he finds interesting with him – both inside and outside. Gusha's future family should be aware of how much work it means to take in and raise a puppy. For Gusha, we wish active people who can keep him in a species-appropriate way. Children should be well-established, and a single dog may be present, but it is not a must. Due to Gusha's size and origin, a HSH component (herding dog) could be in him. The future family should familiarize themselves with these breeds beforehand. Age: 31.01.2026 (estimated) Breed: Mix (HSH likely) Size: currently ca. 40cm (later ca. 55-60cm) neutered: No, too young house-trained: in training Likes children: from age 10 Vertracts with cats: Yes Vertracts with other dogs: Yes Foster location: 49751 Werpeloh Couples or single individuals, families with older children People with or without an existing dog or other animals, like cats People who live in a natural way, preferably with a garden Do you want to give Gusha a new home? About Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha

What life with Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha looks like

Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha is a small senior dog waiting at Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. in Großefehn.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aufgeschlossener HSH-Mix Gusha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
