Autumn came to RSPCA Bluebell Ridge from a large multi-cat household and, understandably, found all the changes quite overwhelming. When she first moved into her foster home, she spent several weeks tucked safely away, learning the new sounds and smells before she felt ready to trust her new surroundings and make friends with her foster carers. For Autumn, this caution makes perfect sense. She is visually impaired, which means the world can feel like a much bigger and scarier place, especially when everything around her is new and unfamiliar. New sounds, smells and spaces can take a little time to navigate, and she needs patient people who understand that confidence cannot be rushed. The wonderful news is that once Autumn has had the opportunity to settle and feel safe, her true personality shines through. Beneath that initial shyness is an incredibly affectionate girl who absolutely adores a fuss. Given the chance, sheβll happily soak up all the love and attention you can offer, rewarding your patience with plenty of gentle companionship.
