Autumn

Maine Coon · Female

Hello! My name is Autumn, My personality: I am a shy girl at first but once I am used to you I am a typical loving Main coon. I love to have my head rubbed and have lots of fusses. In my previous home I was very needy for attention and will love to have someone who is around often to give me lots of love. My ideal home: My purr-fect home would to be with someone who has had some experience with my breed or who is very willing to learn about me, I would like a home with no other pets. My new family need to be very understanding and patience with me, I have glorious long coat and will need some extra help keeping it in excellent condition. Access to outdoors: I would be happy being an indoor cat as long as I have lots of enrichment and space, but would be happy being an outdoor cat maybe if you had a secure catio that would be best! Toileting: I am litter trained, I have access to both wood pellet litter and grit. Did you know: Maine Coon cats are the largest domesticated cat breed in the world, with males weighing up to 18 pounds and females weighing between eight and 12 pounds. My adoption fee is £175

About Autumn

What life with Autumn looks like

Autumn is a adult maine coon cat waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Autumn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Autumn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Autumn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Autumn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Autumn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Autumn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Autumn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
