Ayla

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Ayla (born 10/2019) is a beautiful and friendly female dog of perfect size. With her soft fur, charming licorice nose, and sweet expression, she captures hearts instantly. She is friendly, open, and easy to handle around people. Ayla also moves confidently and socially in her dog group. She walks well on a leash, although with some practice, there is certainly potential for improvement. We are not certain if Ayla has experienced life in a house before. However, we are confident that this lovely black female dog will become a great companion with patience, loving guidance, and without pressure. Ayla is looking for a loving and experienced foster home to accompany her on her journey to a new life, or a suitable forever home. Ayla is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and will be placed with a contract after a positive pre-check. General note on our animals: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so we can reassess their behavior and development. These personal impressions help us to convey a good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new routines, and new impressions - may also behave differently. This is normal and part of any change process. Many dogs open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the shelter. Our assessments are based on current observations, but they are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They are intended to provide guidance and show how the dog presents itself in the shelter - and what potential it has. We are convinced: with patience, understanding, and a loving environment, every dog can find its way and develop positively.

Ayla (geb.

About Ayla

What life with Ayla looks like

Ayla is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ayla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ayla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ayla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ayla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Ayla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ayla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ayla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
