AYLA

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Ayla and her sister Luna came to our shelter together. Unfortunately, their story began in a very sad way - both were abandoned in a park and tied to a tree. They were left to fend for themselves, without the possibility of leaving and without a person who could take care of them. Today, however, it is difficult to guess from their behavior how painful an experience they have had. Ayla is a young, friendly and friendly female dog who is very eager to make contact with people. She is curious about the world and gets to know her new surroundings with interest. Ayla gets along well with other dogs, so she can live in a house where there is already a resident dog. Of course, before moving in together, a meeting and an introductory walk will be necessary to calmly check their mutual relationships. Like any young dog, Ayla still needs to learn everyday life. In a new home, it will be necessary to further practice cleanliness and introduce a regular rhythm of walks. She needs caregivers who will patiently show her the rules that apply in the house and allow her to learn step by step everything that a young dog is just learning.

Ayla i jej siostra Luna trafiły do naszego schroniska razem.

About AYLA

What life with AYLA looks like

AYLA is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Świdnica in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting AYLA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about AYLA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Świdnica handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw AYLA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt AYLA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Świdnica will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is AYLA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if AYLA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Świdnica early rather than rehoming privately; they know AYLA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
