Generalities: microchipped and vaccinated, a black and white short-haired American Staffordshire Terrier. Temperament: Being of the breed, Bahamas is a dog with a somewhat physical approach. She wears a harness and loves long walks, although she tends to pull on the leash, but with a bit of physical strength she is well manageable. She certainly knows the ball game very well, but with her assigned volunteers she is discovering new and different activities. Ideal adoption: People with experience with dogs, preferably Mastiff-type breeds, who know the breed characteristics and are willing to attend some pre-adoption placement meetings at our dog shelter; with some physical strength to manage her on walks and with good resource management. No children because her physical approaches could accidentally make them fall. The cohabitation with another dog of similar size and opposite sex should be evaluated, however a compatibility test must be carried out at the dog shelter in the presence of one of our staff members. She is suitable for living in an apartment or a house with a garden, but she lives internally in contact with the family and needs daily walks and regular activities for her psychological and physical well-being. Generalità: Microchippata e vaccinata, razza Amstaff dal pelo raso nero e bianco. Carattere: Visto le caratteristiche di razza, Bahamas è un cane dagli approcci un po’ fisici. Indossa la pettorina e adora fare lunghe passeggiate anche se a guinzaglio tende a tirare ma con un po’ di forza fisica è ben gestibile. Sicuramente conosce fin troppo bene il gioco della pallina ma con i suoi volontari di riferimento sta scoprendo anche nuove e diverse attività. Adozione ideale: Persone con esperienza di cani, meglio se molossoidi, che ne conoscano le caratteristiche di razza e disposte a seguire alcuni incontri pre-affido presso il nostro canile; con un po’ di forza fisica per gestirla in passeggiata e con una buona gestione delle risorse. No bambini perchè con i suoi approcci fisici potrebbe farli involontariamente cadere. Da valutare la convivenza con altro cane di pari taglia e di sesso opposto, viene comunque richiesta la prova di compatibilità da effettuarsi presso il canile in presenza di un nostro operatore. Bene sia la vita in appartamento che in casa con giardino vivendo però internamente a contatto con la famiglia e garantendole le passeggiate giornaliere e quotidiane attività necessarie per il suo benessere psicofisico.
