Balou, at 2.5 years old, is now a mature lady and has become more confident and outgoing since being separated from her sister. Standing at 63 cm and weighing around 40 kg, she is a large female dog. She still finds her collar and leash not very appealing, which needs to be addressed. However, she responds well to recall in an open area and stays close to her primary caregiver. Balou is a watchful female dog who enjoys playing extensively with other dogs. Fellow animals are absolutely no problem for the pretty Balou. She initially reacts cautiously to new situations but shows a very close bond with her humans, drawing a lot of security from it. She has already mastered driving well, and long drives are no problem for her. She is familiar with cats and gets along very well with them in the household. However, she would like to chase after them outside. If there are children nearby, Balou wishes to be left alone, as she has not yet fully assessed them. Balou is very compatible with her fellow animals.

Balou ist mit ihren 2,5 Jahren mittlerweile eine junge Dame und seitdem sie von ihrer Schwester getrennt lebt, auch deutlich selbstbewusster und aufgeschlossener. Mit einer Größe von 63 cm und einem Gewicht von etwa 40 kg ist sie eine große Hündin. Das Geschirr und die Leine findet sie immer noch nicht überzeugend, daran muss weitergearbeitet werden. Sie hört allerdings im Freilauf sehr gut auf den Rückruf und hält sich in der Nähe ihrer Bezugsperson auf. Balou ist eine wachsame Hündin, die ihren Spaß daran hat, mit den anderen Hunden ausgiebig zu spielen. Artgenossen sind absolut kein Problem für die Hübsche. Auf Neues reagiert sie zunächst mit Vorsicht. Des Weiteren zeigt sie sich sehr verkuschelt und zieht viel Sicherheit aus ihrer Beziehung zu ihren Menschen. Das Autofahren beherrscht sie bereits sehr gut, auch lange Fahrten stellen kein Problem für sie dar. Katzen kennt sie und kommt mit diesen im häuslichen Umfeld auch sehr gut klar. Draußen möchte sie allerdings gerne hinter diesen hinterherjagen. Sofern Kinder in ihrer Nähe sind, wünscht sich Balou von diesen in Ruhe gelassen zu werden, da sie diese noch nicht richtig einschätzen kann. Balou ist sehr verträglich mit ihren Artgenossen.
