animal shelter Tanamera: Update April 9, 2026: Balti is our lovely pup with a bit of attitude! He likes to be the alpha, and acts tough. But oh no, when mama Valentina corrects him, or if he's in pain, he turns into a real baby, cries, and wants to immediately crawl onto someone's lap and be comforted. Balti is a teddy bear, very affectionate and a dog who loves to go along. He still needs extra vaccinations, so unfortunately he can't yet walk around the village. But we think it will go well for him soon, because he is sooo curious about everything! 11 new photos added. Input March 19, 2026: Balti was rescued with his family from a rabbit hole! His mama (14kg) had given birth to 5 puppies there. We had been following this litter while she was pregnant, but we only got her in our trap after she had given birth. Since we didn't know where the pups were, she was released again with a tracker. And so we followed her to a field with rabbit holes. Eventually, we dug up the puppies and took them. They were already three weeks old. Despite never having been outside or seen a human before, they adapted quickly. They became social very fast, and are healthy. Balti was reserved for two weeks, but that was canceled without reason. Very sad, because there was interest in him through another channel. And now he has no one at all. Balti is here bold and independent. But also very focused on us as his humans, and we think he would be great for agility later on. He is a really nice active pup! He can travel from around May. Then he will be fully vaccinated and have his passport and suitcase ready. Now only find a family!

Asiel Tanamera: Update 09 april 2026: Balti is onze lieve pup met attitude! Hij is graag haantje de voorste, en doet stoer. Maar oh wee als mama Valentina hem corrigeert, of hij zich zeer doet. Dan is hij een echte baby, huilt, en wil direct op schoot kruipen en gerustgesteld worden. Balti is een knuffelbeer, erg aanhankelijk en een hond die graag meegaat. Hij moet nog extra vaccinaties hebben, dus hij kan helaas nog niet in het dorp wandelen. Maar we denken dat dat hem straks goed af zal gaan, want hij is zooo nieuwsgierig naar alles! 11 Nieuwe foto's toegevoegd. Input 19 maart 2026: Balti werd gered met zijn familie uit een konijnenhol! Zijn mama (14kg) had daar 5 puppies gekregen. We volgden deze podenca al toen ze zwanger was, maar kregen haar pas in onze val nadat ze bevallen was. Omdat we niet wisten waar de pups waren, is ze daarna weer losgelaten met tracker. En zo volgden we haar naar een veld met konijnenholen. Uiteindelijk hebben we daar de puppies uitgegraven en meegenomen. Ze waren toen al 3 weken oud.Ondanks dat ze nog nooit buiten geweest waren, of een mens hadden gezien, pasten ze zich snel aan. Ze werden snel sociaal, en zijn gezond. Balti werd gedurende twee weken gereserveerd, maar dat werd zonder reden afgeblazen. Heel sneu, want er was interesse in hem via een ander kanaal. En nu heeft hij gewoon niemand. Balti is hier brutaal en zelfstandig. Maar ook erg gericht op ons als zijn mensjes en we denken dat hij geweldig is om straks agility mee te doen. Hij is een hele leuke actieve pup!Reizen mag hij ongeveer vanaf mei. Dan is hij compleet gevaccineerd en heeft hij zijn paspoortje, en koffertje gepakt. Nu alleen nog een familie vinden!
