Bam Bam

Male · Young · 2 years

If you’re looking for a wonderful happy-go-lucky Labrador mix then our Bambam could be the dog for you. Bambam was found with a rope tied around his neck so we presume that he’d escaped from a life tied up. He’s not chipped and no one has come asking for him, so now we hope he’ll be lucky enough to find into someone’s heart and get all the love he deserves. Bambam is a really sweet dog; happy, brave and friendly. He is most likely a Labrador mix and has the Labrador’s pleasant and open character. But he’s missing a tail. He is a young dog, about 2 years old and of medium size (18 kilos), who would fit in well in most homes! He loves people and likes to be close. And to have his tummy rubbed. He’s also fond of other dogs. He probably shouldn’t share a home with a cat. As for children, they should be a little older, not because he doesn’t love even small children but because his cheerful manner can knock them over and perhaps, despite his intentions, frighten them. We think he could thrive in a city environment if he gets his daily dose of activities. Bambam has probably never lived indoors, so you can expect that there is a lot he needs to learn about what life in a home looks like. He’s ready to take on the world – and if he’s captured your heart please kindly email: for adoption info.

About Bam Bam

What life with Bam Bam looks like

Bam Bam is a small young adult dog waiting at Starlight Barking Trust in United Kingdom.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bam Bam, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bam Bam?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Starlight Barking Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bam Bam on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bam Bam if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Starlight Barking Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bam Bam already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bam Bam isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Starlight Barking Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bam Bam and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
